CCHR has long fought against forced drugging and electroshocking of patients, involuntary commitment, the psychiatric drugging of children, & psychiatric incarceration of political dissidents. CCHR has also been the primary mental health organisation seeking to enact informed consent into the field of mental health – a practice which is virtually non-existent in the psychiatric/mental health industry.
