Australian doctors are being urged to scale back their prolific prescription of antidepressants as more research suggests the drugs have been oversold.
While one in 10 Australian adults takes antidepressants daily, along with a rising number of children and teenagers, psychiatrists say research backing the drugs’ effectiveness is deteriorating.
