WA in the dark on ADHD drug use after government quietly stops reporting

West Australians are in the dark on the prevalence of amphetamines being prescribed by doctors in the state after the publishing of a key report was quietly discontinued by the McGowan government.

Medical professionals and researchers support the continued publication of the report – which they say provided important data on trends – despite polarising views on whether the reports revealed over or under-prescribing of ADHD medications in WA.
