Call to Ban Hospitals Using Physical Restraint on Kids

A mental health commissioner is urging the Napthine government to ban the use of physical restraint on young children, with disturbing images showing a nine-year-old boy with bruises and welts sustained at a Victorian hospital.

National Mental Health Commissioner Jackie Crowe said children as young as seven were being physically restrained in acute mental health units to control their behaviour.
