A study done in the UK reveals the truth there is no evidence that depression is caused by a chemical imbalance of the brain. The marketing of this myth and that antidepressants will correct a chemical imbalance may have led to untold damage and lost lives.

CCHR condemns the industry’s mass marketing of the “chemical imbalance theory.” Australia’s drug regulatory agency has issued 7 psychiatric drug warnings to warn of the risk of suicidal ideation, behaviour and suicide.
